Welcome
Welcome to Wollescote Primary School, where our values of Be Proud, Be Positive and Be Polite reflects our ethos of putting the children and the community at the heart of all we do. We are a diverse primary school, with a lot to be proud of.
As soon as you walk through the door you will feel the warmth, enthusiasm and positivity in all we do. Our classrooms are vibrant, energetic places full of learning where we work to create a classroom ethos that allows children to develop resilience and independence through overcoming their barriers and using their mistakes to learn. Each child is valued as an individual and teachers tailor goals to ensure that all children make good progress and feel successful, regardless of their starting points.
We have a strong community feel and like to think of ourselves as a wider Wollescote Family. We love to have parents into school as much as we can and our half termly parent workshops allow our parents to engage with the children’s learning in a hands on and practical way. We also pride ourselves on the provision of our wider sporting opportunities, including utilising our very own swimming pool to ensure that children in Years 3&4 have an extended opportunity to learn to swim. Our dedicated sports team also provide free after school clubs with a range of sporting activities on offer to ensure that our children enjoy sport and enjoy staying healthy.
In the last few years we have developed an amazing Forest School area, which allows our children in Early Years and Key Stage One to access high quality Forest School provision provided by our dedicated Forest Schools Leader. This helps children in their early stages of learning to develop essential language skills as well as vital skills such as core strength, gross motor skills and independence.
I am immensely proud to be the Headteacher of such an inspirational school and I am committed to continue to ensure the school goes from strength to strength in both academic achievements and in ensuring we are developing well rounded citizens ready for the next stage of their school life.
If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact the school – we are always happy to help.
